Corridor to host Workforce Lunch & Learn in partnership with the Estherville Chamber

The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation (Corridor) in partnership with the Estherville Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) and Estherville Area Growth Partnership (Partnership) will host a Lunch & Learn event at the Iowa Lakes Community College Performing Arts Center at noon on Thursday, June 27th with speaker Kathy Anderson from Iowa Workforce Development.

Kathy Anderson is the Division Administrator for the Business Engagement Division at Iowa Workforce Development. With over twenty years of marketing and program management experience, Anderson enjoys advocating for businesses and connecting them to workforce solutions. She will be presenting on the Business Engagement Division and the services available to employers. Employer best practices for apprenticeships, work-based learning and hiring those with disabilities will also be topics for discussion.

“We are excited to have Kathy Anderson come to talk to our businesses about workforce and give tips on recruitment and retention,” said Corridor President & CEO Curt Strouth. “Workforce is a major topic across not only our region, but the state, and the more we can work toward solutions to fill those gaps, growth and continued development will follow.”
